MORTY

I'm Morty. I'm a super sweet boy but do get a little nervous about new things that make lots of noise (garbage truck for example), but my foster dad says that's normal. He says I'll get better and better with that as I get used to all these new things. I'm a social guy who enjoys meeting new people and dogs. I play well with everyone I meet. I walk great on a leash and I sleep in my kennel overnight with  no accidents at all. I'm still learning not to jump up and greet new people but I'm getting better. I also love to help my foster dad in the garden. My favorite thing is helping him pick the cucumbers! I really want to find a person or family who will love me furever. I do need a home with a fenced in yard and would love to have a canine friend to play with. I have been told I had a couple seizures and they aren't sure why, but I take my meds very well and haven't had more of those weird shakes. Morty has epilepsy and will require medication for the rest of his life. Morty is a Catahoula Leopard Dog, weighs 40 lbs and was born approximately 12-12-19. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed & given  a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
