Hi! My name is Missy, and I’m a happy, sweet, little gal who loves to snuggle on the couch and get my head scratched and my back kneaded. My owner died, and I was so sad and wouldn’t eat. Now I’m ready to trust and love and find my forever home. My foster mom says I’m the ideal dog. I’m smart, potty trained and follow house rules. My foster mom says that makes me easy to have around. I’m excellent on a leash and always ready for a walk. If we meet people or dogs, I’m friendly. I have always been an only dog, but would probably be okay with other pets if they aren’t too active. Last weekend we had grandkids visit. It was fun having them around but snuggling by my foster mom is my favorite. I love being with people and follow them around the house, but if I have to be put in my indoor fenced pen, I’m content too. I’m not a barker but will let you know if something’s not right. I’m also not a couch potato and enjoy playing with toys - squeaky ones are my favorite. Then I’m ready to snuggle again. My foster mom says whoever adopts me will be mighty lucky to have such an awesome companion. Will that be you? Did I mention I love to snuggle? Missy is a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier mix, weighs 20 lbs, and was born 3-14-15. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
