SNICKERS

Hello everyone from your snack size Snickers! I am from Kansas and enjoying my new life in Nebraska. I was surrendered by my humans when they had trouble understanding Shih Tzu temperament and grooming needs. I am a happy playful guy that loves to play with my squeaker toys. I even play hide and seek with them when I cover and uncover them in the yard. I am reactive to kennels and kids. My foster family and I have come to an agreement no kennel from them no messes from me! This has worked out well. Did I mention I was bell trained? I also verbalize my need to go outside in case you miss me ringing the bell. I love to be outside and to go for walks. I do well on a leash. I love to chase squirrels so it is best if I have a fenced yard or be on a leash when outside because I can be very fast and may not hear commands when I am focused on a squirrel. I am not overly snuggly but I do enjoy being held for short intervals and having my belly rubbed. I do enjoy just being around my foster family and their dogs. I can be talkative and sassy (remember I am a Shih Tzu) but I can also be distracted if I become over opinionated. If you have a love and understanding of Shih Tzu’s I have some happiness to add to your home. Snickers is a male Shih Tzu, weighs 10 and was born approximately 9/18/2017. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
