FROG

Hi! My Name Is FROG

We're happy to tell you that FROG has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
This hunky man is Frog! Frog came to us when someone called us about a sick pup that was left at their doorstep.  He was very sick and was barely alive when we picked him up, it was obvious that something was very wrong.  A trip to the vet brought us the answers when we looked in his mouth and noticed something funny.  Frog had eaten a cow hoof and it was lodged in his throat!  Luckily it was an easy removal and he was headed on the road to recovery. Now Frog is 6 months old, neutered and all up to date on his shots ready for his new forever home! He is very well behaved and knows how to sit and stay and is potty trained.  He gets along with cats and dogs and though he has not been around children we don't see that he would have any issues.  Because he is still young he can get excited and jump but we have been working on that.  He loves squeaky toys and any furry stuffy that he can rip apart!  Right now Frog sleeps in a kennel at night and is also kenneled through the day but he could easily be allowed to roam as he is very well behaved out of the kennel. Meal time is his favorite time and if you have any other furry friends you will need to keep a close eye out as he is known to steal other food. We think this behavior stems from being starved for so long and we hope the older he gets the less food motivated he will be. Right now we use a slow feeder to get him to slow down and take his time! All in all, Frog is a good boy who needs someone with a big backyard and time to play fetch and go on long walks! As energetic as he is he also loves to jump in your lap and settle down for a nap. He very much wants to be with his people! If you are interested in this hunk please fill out an app with Dolly's today! Frog is a male Lab/Pointer mix, weighs 40 lbs (but growing!) and was born approximately 5-15-20. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, please complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment.
