MYRTLE

Meet Myrtle, a beautiful girl who loves to be around people and with just a little bit of confirmation that she is loved, she is very chill. She's good on a leash knows how to use a doggy door always doing her business outside. She likes to play with other dogs and is just learning about dog toys. She has met but seems to be indifferent towards children. Does not lash out, but is mildly afraid of cars. Absolutely does not want to be confined in a kennel or tethered outside and left alone. She sleeps on a couch cushion on the floor at night and has no issues. Myrtle loves walks and does a good job of running next to a bicycle but doesn't need to work off nervous energy at all. She is not treat motivated unless it is actual meat, then she will take it from your hand and try to please you to get more of it. She knows the word "no" and responds well. . Myrtle loves the snow and being outside when it is cool, but likes to be inside a little She does not chase after squirrels or birds but would much rather be with her person. Myrtle would do best in a home where someone is there much of the time rather than gone for most of the day. She would be miserable if forced to be crated. She is hoping for a home with a big fenced in yard and is not suited for apartment life.  Myrtle is a Labrador/Pointer mix, weighs 57 lbs and was born approximately 2-7-20. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
