Hi there, my name is Sunday! Most kitties are chosen by Dolly’s Legacy to be rescued, but I chose them! During one of their adoption events I walked right past the front doors of the building and let the Dolly’s volunteers see me. As soon as they did, they knew I needed help and they could provide it. I did make them run over half a mile and crawl around in some dirt to catch me, but once they got me, I was so happy to be in their care! You can see from my photos that I have come a LONG way. I was very sick and my fur was completely matted when I was rescued. But with some time and TLC, I am a new kitty. I do have a very funny haircut right now, but it made me feel so much better and I promise that I will be fluffy and gorgeous again soon! I might have been a stray for a long time but I have taken to home living extremely well again. I use a litter box like a champ and as long as I have lots of appropriate things to scratch on, I am a perfect gentleman with my claws. I love all dogs! I prefer them actually. As long as they are nice to me, I want to be their friend and cuddle. Cats on the other hand are still a little scary to me. I had to fight for my food and shelter when I was outside, so trusting cats and learning that they are friends not foes has been tough. I have come so very far already though. When I first got to my foster home I couldn’t even turn my back on the other cats in the house and wanted to face off every time I passed them. But now, we I am very friendly with them, and we are getting along great. If there are kitty friends in my forever home they would need to be very friendly and patient while I adjust and get to know them. My real passion though are people! I am so friendly and affectionate with my foster mom. I can’t get enough love from her. I am a purr machine and head butt to get pets constantly! I don’t really love being picked up, but don’t worry because I will be coming to you and looking to snuggle all the time. I did my time on the streets and I am so ready for a family of my own who will love me and give me a home forever!! Sunday is a male Domestic Longhair, weighs 7 lbs and was born approximately 3-17-19. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and dewormed. Adoption fee is $150 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
