DUSTY

Are you looking for an affectionate cat? A chatty one? A friendly one? Then Dusty might be the cat for you! This boy had a rough life on the streets before coming to Dolly’s Legacy, but he is so sweet you’d never know it! Dusty wants nothing more than to be near you, have conversation with you about the endless ear scratches he would like, and enjoy very comfortable chairs. Because he had to fend for himself for a while he learned to be defensive and dominant with other cats and would do well as an only cat or in a home with a younger/smaller female. He has done well with small kittens, so it’s possible that a kitten he grew up with would be alright as well. He is also learning to get along with dogs in his foster home and as long as they are friendly with him and understand he might stand up for himself if they invade his personal space, he should have no trouble sharing a forever home with them. One thing Dusty took to right away in doors though is using a litter box, he’s been perfect. He has also not used his claws anywhere he shouldn’t, and likes cardboard scratchers. Dusty does have one eye that is smaller than the other. It was something he was born with and doesn’t cause him any pain. It will not be something that needs any extra vet care in the future either, and makes him look like a cute little pirate! Honestly, Dusty’s worst quality is that he is very difficult to get a good picture of because he spends the entire time trying to headbutt your hands to get you to pet him. He doesn’t understand why you would be so close without giving him love! Please consider giving this sweet, chatty boy, the loving indoor home he deserves!
