SCOOBY

Hi! My Name Is SCOOBY

We're happy to tell you that SCOOBY has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Scooby is a delightful boy who is active and wants to be the center of attention. He is fond of cats and wants to play with them, but they aren't always up for it, so he moves on to something or someone who will engage with him. He does great with other dogs, especially those who match his size and love of romping & wrestling. He makes fast friends and has loads of fun at the dog park. He was gentle & friendly with a younger grade school aged child but has not lived with children while with us. He is a great snuggler and will happily be your sidekick for movie nights. Scooby knows commands of ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’ and is good about going in a crate overnight or while we are at work. He has wonderful manners, had no accidents in the house, and isn't a barker (not even when the doorbell rings or other dogs bark at him. He is very food motivated so we think he can learn much more with additional trainer. He is a fast runner and loves to play. He would do great with an outdoorsy person or family, and would be an excellent jogging or hiking partner. He needs a home with a large fenced yard as he wouldn't be at his happiest without a yard to romp freely in. Scooby is an all-around delightful dog who will make a family or person very happy!

Scooby came from a rural shelter in Missouri where he had been picked up as a local stray and never reclaimed. He was at the shelter for an entire year when Dolly's Legacy heard about him & came to his rescue. When he arrived into rescue, he was found to have a microchip. His registered owner was contacted right away who stated Scooby had been stolen from his yard, but didn't want him back as he now owned a dog who doesn't like other dogs. Scooby is ready for a new chapter with a forever home.

Scooby is a Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs 50 lbs and was born approximately 11-12-19. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm preventative.
