Bulldogs are great dogs, but they are not for everyone. If you have never owned an Bulldog, please read our page titled “The Bulldog”
{Buzz_Rescue_Name} will consider adoptive families in the Austin, surrounding areas, and the northwest San Antonio area. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers.
Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the Bulldog’s background and your family’s needs. Every Bulldog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right Bulldog with the right adoptive home, because we want this to be the dog's permanent home.
If you are willing to wait for the right rescue to be matched to you, you are an ideal candidate for {Buzz_Rescue_Name}. As our success rate proves, these precious dogs are well worth the wait. If acquiring a dog is a time sensitive issue for you or your family, rescue may not be for you.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a bulldog into your home. In order for us to find the right bulldog for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Once your application review is complete, an {Buzz_Rescue_Name} volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit to meet in person and discuss all-things bulldog. During the home visit we look for potential hazards for the dog that the adopter may not have considered. All household members must be present during home visit. This includes all pets.
Once approved to adopt, the search for your bulldog begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate dogs currently in our foster care program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing dogs in our care that you are specifically interested in.
