AERO

Aero is one of the smartest, most submissive, "old soul" kind of dogs you will ever meet! He is waiting for his perfect match so very patiently. We can't say enough great things about this boy. He would absolutely excel at agility, fly ball, or advanced training. He is completely focused on whatever it is his person wants him to do. He is extremely eager to please. We wonder if his first owners wanted an aggressive dog and, when Aero didn't have an aggressive bone in his body, they abandoned him. Aero is great with other dogs and thoroughly enjoys visits to the dog park and making friends with neighbors dogs. He would do well in a home with a dog companion, or would do equally as well as an only dog. He has never chased cats but rather admires them from afar. While does wonderful with children and will be fine with visiting grandchildren and such, we  don't think he should be homed with them as they do tend to stress him out and he hides if they become overly noisy or rambunctious. He does well with strangers when on walks though he does bark when someone unexpectedly or who is a stranger comes into the house. Aero is a one-human kind of dog; he follows his mom everywhere, sits outside the door if she's in a room alone, sits by the door waiting for her to come to him, and lounges under the table when she's working. He is SUPER smart. We would love to see him with someone who can do dog sports with him. He knows lots of commands; sit, down (lie down), jump, stand, give, off (the couch, lap,  legs when he stands), bedtime, bed (go to kennel), leave it, out *with a point* and he'll leave a room or area, and inside (the house, the fence usually with a point). We've been working on dance (stand up and spin around on back legs) and he's gotten pretty good at stay but that one still needs some work. We think he could be an excellent obstacle course competitor. This truly is a special boy who deserves only the very best home. We are searching for that for him and hope you are as smitten with him as we are.

Aero is a Rat Terrier/Basenji mix (our best guess of breeds), weighs 30 lbs and was born approximately 11-28-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative. Adoption fee is $150 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
