Amos is a hero dog!! He recently saved his foster family from a fire that was rapidly approaching their home. He emphatically alerted them as they slept that they were in danger and wouldn't give up until they were awakened. He saved their home and their family. This speaks volumes about his loyalty. Amos is truly a gentle giant. He has lived with dogs, cats, farm animals, chickens, and is a lover of all. We can't say enough good things about this boy. He's REALLY special!!

Amos was rescued from a high intake rural outdoor shelter in Southeastern Missouri where he was on death row. There is no adoption program there, his only way out was to be rescued. Dolly's Legacy is honored to have saved his life and have promised him a happy home.

Amos is a Yellow Lab/mix who weighs 86 lbs and was born approximately 10-10-21. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. He is being provided life-saving heartworm treatment and will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. Dolly's Legacy Animal Rescue's mission is to save orphaned and abandoned pets from overcrowded shelters where they are out of time & out of hope to make it out alive. Far too many pets are facing a cruel death at high-intake, high-kill animal control facilities, some still using a gas chamber as a means of euthanasia. We rescue dogs, puppies, cats & kittens, and place them into loving foster homes while they receive all the vet care needed, including spay/neuter, heartworm testing & treatment, vaccinations, microchipping, treatment for parasites, surgical intervention, and hospitalization.
