APOLLO

Hello I'm Apollo!! I am very curious and love to know what is going on. My world has been turned upside down so many times. The first time was when my mommy and daddy were having a new baby and they gave me up. Then I was adopted again and returned. I want to be a good boy and really have so much love to offer! Once I get to know you I am such a cuddle bug. Give me the chance to melt your heart with my cute underbite and snuggles under the blankets! I love when there is an open lap for me to sit on, it's my favorite place to hang out. I really enjoy being outside playing and exploring the back yard. I am also very good on leash and think walks are so fun! Another small dog my size would be okay (but I can't eat their food, I'm on a special diet). I prefer to meet people and other pets on my terms as am sometimes picky about my companions (hey, who isn't!). Kids make me nervous with their sudden & unpredictable movements so I shouldn't live with them. I would be happiest in a home that is calmer. I am a really smart boy who will stick by your side. I am kennel trained but I really prefer to sleep in bed under the covers with my humans. I need an experienced owner who is patient and disciplined and doesn't feed me snacks, no matter how much I beg! I am on a special diet due to my severe allergies. I need to be monitored regularly at the vet because when my skin starts to itch, I can become miserable pretty quickly (imagine feeling like you have poison ivy!). Requirements to adopt Apollo:

*Exceptional veterinary reference with responsible pet ownership history

*Needs experienced owner who will be committed to keeping his allergies in check & keeping him on his prescription diet (hydrolyzed protein diet available at vet clinics)

Apollo is a Jack Russell Terrier/Chiweeinie mix that weighs 17 lbs and was born approximately 7-14-15. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive. Adoption fee is $150 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
