ARI

Ari is such a sweet soul. Her foster mom has decided this mythically gorgeous pooch is named after mermaid Arielle, Ari for short. She is very much a "nana" dog, very gentle, quiet, caring, sweet, affectionate. She loves Jarvis and the two will cuddle together and play (very politely, very quietly) together constantly. Though she's 14, she acts much younger with Jarvis. She walks perfectly well on a leash with harness, and is the most well mannered little lady. She brings a soothing and calming energy to the other animals in the house. Ari is still learning to sleep on a human bed, but it's perfectly fine if you put a dog bed on the floor for her. She and Jarvis are a perfect pair, and must be adopted together.

Ari is a bit of a mystery for breed; we are guessing at Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix. She weighs 15 lbs and was born approximately 7-18-09. Jarvis is a Chihuahua/mix who weighs 20 lbs and was born approximately 7-18-16. Jarvis is neutered, Ari does not have a visible spay scar, but at her age, we do not want to put her through exploratory surgry to determine if she was previously spayed. If she was done at a young age, the scar would no longer be visible. If it is later determined she is intact by going into heat, Dollys Leegacy will have their vet do her spay surgery at rescue expense. Both Jarvis & Ari are vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm preventative. They are bonded and must be adopted together, we will not separate them. Adoption fee is $500 as a bonded pair to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
