Coat & Cuddles: Aurora boasts the softest fur you’ve ever felt—bright white as snow—paired with the most touchable velvet ears. She is a semi-lap dog who prefers to take things at her own pace—she’s a bit shy at first, but when she’s ready for love, she will happily seek you out. Once she trusts you, she is totally open to sweet snout kisses and gentle belly rubs!
The Toy Collector: If you love a tidy home, well... Aurora has her own unique idea of interior decorating! She loves chew toys, but honestly, she loves all toys. Her favorite pastime is gathering every toy she can find and stashing them safely in her bed like little treasures.
Outdoor Explorer: This sweet girl truly loves being outside. She’s an absolute superstar on walks, keeping her nose glued to the ground the whole time to sniff out the world. She’s focused and doesn't pull, but she moves like a kite in a March wind: Right, Left, follow, lead, repeat! (She’s working on her professional leash manners and getting better every day).
Because Aurora is still learning that the world is a safe place, she takes a little time to warm up to strangers. When new people visit, she prefers to retreat and hide in another room until she feels secure enough to venture out and check things out on her terms. A noisy environment would overwhelm her. Apartment life would not suit her. A fenced yard where she can enjoy the great outdoors while feeling secure is a must.
She also occasionally flinches at sudden movements, especially while eating or drinking. This is slowly but surely improving with continued patience, consistency, and love. Because she isn't overly food-motivated, her currency is pure affection, safety, and time.
Aurora is looking for a patient, understanding family who will let her bloom at her own speed. If you have a soft spot for gentle, sensitive souls who will reward your patience with deep, unwavering loyalty—and maybe a pile of accumulated toys—Aurora is ready to light up your life!
Aurora is a Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix who was was born approximately 4-8-26. She is spayed, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and started on preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
