**MEDICAL HOLD** Baxter will be available for adoption approximately 7-28-21 following life-saving heartworm treatment** I’m Baxter, and I am just a big guy with an even bigger heart. Foster mom likes to refer to me as the house nanny dog, because I make it my duty to ensure everyone is okay and taken care of. I’m such a big fan of naps, I could literally sleep anywhere for hours. I enjoy sunbathing outside on the patio while taking in all the fresh air and sunshine. I would really do well with any kind of family, even one with kids and other furry siblings. I’m cool as a cucumber and waiting for a family that will return all of the love that I give to them. Baxter came from a crowded city shelter in Texas where he was in grave danger of being euthanized due to limited space at the shelter & his time was up. Dolly's Legacy came to his rescue and saved his life. Baxter is a male Great Pyrenees mix, weighs 120 lbs and was born approximately 5-1-15. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Baxter had life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure she is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
