Bessie is a sweet and gentle girl who will warm your heart! Bessie may be a bit bashful and shy at first, but once she feels safe, her affectionate and loving nature shines through. In her foster home, Bessie adores following her two big canine companions around, and she thrives with their company. She would greatly benefit from having another dog in her forever home to help boost her confidence and provide her with companionship. Bessie loves spending time outdoors, particularly enjoying wandering the backyard and playing with squeaky balls—she’s just discovered the joy of zoomies and has a blast with them! She is housebroken and kennel trained, and she sleeps soundly through the night without making a sound. Her kennel is her safe space where she feels most secure. While she is a bit nervous in the car, she remains calm and composed during rides. She has a fondness for older kids in her foster home, enjoying ball games, treats, and being brushed by them. Bessie is adapting well to her new environment, and her foster mom praises her for being a smart and good girl. If you have a patient heart and a home with another dog, Bessie would be thrilled to continue her journey of coming out of her shell with your love and support.
Still working on leash training so she does need a fenced in yard.
Cat tested and completely ignored the cat
Okay with all dogs, she’s very submissive.
She’s really coming out of her shell and is comfortable here, not timid or shy at all! Just needs some time to get there.
