*PENDING ADOPTION*
My name is Blanche. As you might guess from the grey in my face, I have a lot of history. I've spent too much of my life in shelters, and I've been a stray too often as well. In fact, a year ago I weighed just 37 pounds. Luckily, I was found and brought to a very nice lady who took special care of me, and over the course of 2023 my weight doubled. Maybe the pendulum swung too far, but it was the best year of my life so far!
I am a Redbone Coonhound. At my stage of life, I'm past all the things that people might worry about with a Coonhound. I don't require much activity. I'm content to just hang out but I will go for a walk if you want. Coonhounds can be noisy. I'm not. In fact, my foster-humans love my voice. They always laugh about the sound I make when I want to come back inside from a potty break. Some Coonhounds like to chew stuff up. I'm way past that stage. Not my thing. I'm too busy enjoying not having to worry where I'll sleep tonight, or where my next meal will come from. Life's great and I'm loving it!
I haven't met a dog I didn't like. There's a couple cats around my foster place, but I'm not interested in them. I love love LOVE people, tall or short, young or old. The vet guessed I was about eight years old. My joints all work fine, and I don't need any medications. I did have heartworm some years ago but was treated successfully. I've been through some pretty hard times but everything's great now and my foster peeps promise me that the tough days are all behind me. I'm a pleasant, mellow soul and I'm looking for someone I can love on forever.

Blanche is a female Redbone Coonhound who was was born approximately 2-22-15 and weighs 71 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. She was also given a dental so her teeth are nice & clean, and had a mammary mass removed. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.
