Bunny lives life at full speed. One minute she's curled up in your lap showering you with kisses, and the next she's racing across the yard convinced she can catch a bird in mid-flight. She is the perfect combination of affectionate cuddle bug and playful adventurer. She loves people with her whole heart and believes laps were invented specifically for puppies. If you're sitting down, don't be surprised if Bunny decides that's her invitation to climb aboard.
Bunny has done beautifully with children, recently spending an evening playing with two 11-year-olds and a 5-year-old. She greeted them with gentle kisses, happy zoomies, and lots of affection—no puppy nipping, just pure joy. She also loves playing with other dogs.
She recently met a cat named Flower and did very well. Bunny's only "offense" was trying to chase her when Flower ran—less because she wanted to bother the cat and more because she assumed she had found another playmate. A cat who is comfortable around playful puppies would likely do just fine with Bunny.
She's making wonderful progress with potty training, sleeps nicely in her kennel, and is learning leash manners and polite greetings. Rainy days, however, remain highly suspicious in Bunny's opinion, so she sometimes needs a little extra encouragement to finish her business outside.
She's sweet, silly, endlessly loving, and always ready for the next adventure—or the next cuddle.
Bunny would thrive with an active family who enjoys both playtime and snuggle time. She'd love another playful dog to chase around the yard, but she'd also be happy as the center of attention. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her famous zoomies, and a cat who doesn't mind an enthusiastic puppy could be a good companion.
Bunny is a growing female Chocolate Labrador Retriever/English Pointer mix who was was born approximately 2-6-26. She is spayed, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given a 3-month dose flea/tick preventation. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
