Hi, my name is Callie! I’m such a good dog and would love to find the perfect family. I love everyone I meet, even kids! I like my foster sister and the other dogs I’ve met but so far that's just been little ones. I don’t like when other dogs come around me while I eat or try to take my toys, I'm kind of bossy. I’m pretty much potty trained. I go cry at the back door when I need to go out. When we go on walks, I’m good on the leash. At first, I get so excited that I pull, but then I calm down. If bikes or scooters come near me, I get a little scared. Playing in the yard is lots of fun! I like my foster mom to play with me though. I really like to be around people at all times. I sleep good in a kennel at night, but I like the kennel to be right next to my foster mom’s bed. I really prefer not to be left alone too long. Because of my past, I have some separation anxiety. I just need someone to love me, so I can trust that I’m not going to be left again. A family that is home a lot would be the best for me. Callie was seen being dumped out of a truck in rural southern Missouri. The person who witnessed it picked her up & contacted the local animal control where Callie was placed in a shelter. Her only way out was to be rescued as they do not have a volunteer or adoption program there. Dolly's Legacy saw her sweet face & came to her rescue to save her life. Callie is a Lab/Dalmation mix, weighs 38 lbs (but may still do some growing!) and was born approximately 3-12-20. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed & started on heartworm preventive. Adoption fee is $550 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
