Hi! My Name Is CALLIE

Hi there I'm Callie! I am the mom to the "C" pups and I am having the time of my life with my foster family. Although I am house trained, I am learning how to let my foster parents know when I need to go outside by hanging out by the front door. I get super excited when I see them grab the leash and we go outside! I am working on my social skills when it comes to other dogs as I am interested in meeting all dogs but am learning boundaries and when I've over extended my excitement of meeting them. I love all sizes of humans as long as they love me and give me tons of pets on my belly. However, due to my herding breed instincts it would be best for me not to be with little kids as I may view them as part of my flock and want to herd them. Toys are new to me and I have so much fun tossing and chasing them. I love comfy blankets and anything soft to lay on! Sometimes I sleep in bed with my foster parents, but I also love my own space so sometimes I'll go to my bed that they have for me. I don't like when my foster parents go to work because that means I have to go in the kennel for a bit, but when they get home I feel so free and I'm so excited to see them. My foster mom will put green beans or some pumpkin in with my food and I go bananas over that stuff! I do love my naps too. If my no one wouldn't bug me to play or let them pet me I would sleep all day! Callie is a double-merle Australian Shepherd, weighs 30lbs and was born approximately 11-07-2017. She does not have any deafness or blindness at this time, but is possible in the future due to being a double merle. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, please complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment.
