CHARLIE COOPER

Hi! My Name Is CHARLIE COOPER

We're happy to tell you that CHARLIE COOPER has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Charlie Cooper is very affectionate with his humans and would love a home where he can be spoiled. This boy is as sweet as he looks! He loves getting pets, playing with other pups, getting pets, treats, and did we mention getting pets? Charlie has adjusted wonderfully to being inside after being in an outdoor kennel for so long where he came from in Oklahoma. He is house trained, but is still learning how to let the humans know it's time to go out. He is also kennel-trained so check that off your to-do list as well! Charlie is eager to please his humans and combined with his love of treats and intelligence, he's a quick learner. He loves playing and wrestling with his foster brother so it would be ideal for him to have another pup in the house. Charlie can be weary of new humans at first, but once he knows you're safe, be ready to give him pets! There is no such thing as a personal bubble with him around. Charlie is an active dog and would do best with an active family and a fenced in backyard. Charlie can get a little jumpy when he gets excited, but listens well to redirection.  Catahoulas are loving, calm, and dedicated companions. Named for a Choctaw Indian word meaning "sacred lake," the Catahoula originated in northern Louisiana near Catahoula Lake. They became the state dog of Louisiana in 1979. Catahoulas are protective of the family, and make excellent watch dogs. This breed is not aggressive; however, similar to other herding breeds, it is a natural leader.

Charlie Cooper  is a male Catahoula Leopard Dog who weighs 57 lbs and was born approximately 2-21-21 He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention.
