Hey everyone! I'm Charlie and I am looking for my forever human! I am a smart and active dog looking for people who will involve me in their daily lives and keep me busy. I would love to have a running partner and someone who can challenge me mentally with new tricks or a job for me to do. While I do want to be active, I still love to snuggle with my people. Snuggling is the best!!!I love my foster humans but can be unsure about new people due to my rough start in life. I'm looking for a home with no kids as they scare me a bit. I would like a dog playmate but we would need a proper introduction to make sure we can be best friends. I'm interested in cats but I can learn to leave them alone. I definitely need a fenced backyard so I can run, play and chase balls! I am house trained, crate trained, and walk well on a leash. Am I the total package or what?! I need an owner who has experience with smart, strong dog breeds like German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, or Rottweilers. I'm eager to please and so ready to find my forever home! Charlie is a Shepherd/Malanois mix, weighs 75lbs and is approximately 3 yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Charlie had life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $250 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
