Confident, active, and endlessly playful, Cheddar approaches life like it’s one big adventure waiting to be sniffed. He loves walks, thrives on playtime, and is especially happy when he has a canine buddy to wrestle with. Whether it’s a dog park outing or a neighborhood stroll, Cheddar shows up with wagging-tail energy and a friendly, social attitude.
He’s done well meeting kids out on walks and at the park, enjoys toys, and absolutely delights in exploring new scents (nothing escapes this nose). With his long tail and happy energy, Cheddar brings joy wherever he goes.
Cheddar is doing wonderfully with housetraining and is nearly fully trained, just needing continued consistency in a new home. He’s also polishing up his leash manners and learning to walk like the gentleman he’s meant to be. A fenced yard would be ideal so he can safely romp and burn off his playful energy. He’d thrive with another dog who loves to wrestle — but could also shine as an only dog with an active owner.

Three Things You Must Know About Cheddar
Cheddar is a Retriever mix who was was born approximately 6-1-25 and weighs 45 lbs (still has some growing to do). He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
