CHEERIOS

Cheerios is a sweet little girl who loves to play, snuggle and give kisses. She loves to play with her sister Fruit Loops, they wrestle, chase each other, play tug-of-war and her sister loves to steal her toys! This little sweetie is laid back enough that she usually lets her sister win. Cheerios also likes to try to play with the other dogs in her foster house, however they are not always willing participants. She has been around cats and finds them interesting but leaves them alone. She is doing great on potty training and as long as let out often enough and rarely has any accidents in the house. She has gotten to the point that she is able to hold it all night and go out first thing in the morning. Miss Cheerios is a smart little cookie and has already mastered the command sit and is very treat motivated so her foster mom is sure she will pick up on new tricks quickly. She also comes when she is called. She does like to play outside and explore, so she would do best in a home with a fenced yard. Occasionally Cheerios will "disappear" and when found is usually sacked out in a dog bed or any comfortable spot she can find. This little girl is an absolute delight to have around, she is so full of love and puppy kisses to give. Cheerios is a delight of a pup! Cheerios is a herding breed, and thus it is in her nature to want to 'herd' moving creatures the direction she wants them to go, little kids included. If you are parents of young children and are not prepared for 'herd nipping', we ask that you please consider another breed of dog. The 'Cereal Pups' were tiny nursing pups crying in a box with their distressed mom, Ash, at their side. A plea went out from a small rural shelter that they didn't have the resources to care for this family of 9. Dolly's Legacy answered the call for help, rescuing the mom & litter, and brought them to safety so they could all get the care they needed. Cheerios is a growing female Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer mix pup who was born approximately 1-26-21. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
