CHEX

Hi! My Name Is CHEX

We're happy to tell you that CHEX has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Hello!! My name is Chex, not after the cereal, well, honestly, I have no idea why I’m called Chex so it may be the cereal, or perhaps the snack. I’m a great guy! I get along with other dogs (all sizes) and cats. I do have a bit of curiosity when it comes to cats, but I mind well and back off when told to. Here’s what my foster mom tells me, she really thinks I’m a cool guy! She said I have a really gorgeous face and that I make the most adorable sounds. I do sound a bit gruff but I’m really a lover boy, so my bark sounds way worse than my bite. I don’t bite but I do like to gnaw on my foster mom’s hand cuz I love her so much, she tells me “no bite” and I stop. My foster mom tells me I have a really gentle soul and I do silly things all the time. One thing I do is growl at reflections in the window, makes my foster mom laugh cuz she says I’m far from tough or scary. Another thing I do is make really funny noises when I’m playing cuz I have this really deep voice and I’m quite vocal with it. Some of my really great traits…I’m housebroken, only had a couple accidents at first but now I have the whole routine down…inside, outside, inside, outside, it’s quite exciting! I am also pretty well kennel trained however, I don’t even stay in the kennel at night and I’ve only been here a few days, but my foster mom trusts me and lets me stay out overnight. She does put me in the kennel if she needs to leave or something but more so to keep me out of potential mischief is what she’s telling me. I’ll be the bestest boy if you give me the chance. I will melt your heart with my handsome chiseled face staring at you. I really want a furever home to love me and hug me and be on my side for the rest of my life. I think I deserve a home with a fenced in backyard, it’s fun to run around fast with all my other foster pups! Pick me, pick me!! Chex is a male Black Mouth Cur/ Labrador mix, weighs 65 lbs and was born approximately 9-13-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
