Chico is a gentle, friendly & food-motivated companion. He is house trained and ready to cuddle up next to you. He is still a puppy so when left alone, he does sometimes try to chew on things he shouldn't but he takes redirection well. He was not walked before coming to the rescue so he is learning what a leash is. His favorite thing to do is run around the backyard. He is very sweet. He likes all dogs, but he sometimes gets a little scared and submissive if they are barking at him. Chico is very gentle with kids. He has not been tested with cats but has shown no indicators that he would not get along well with them. When a person is sitting by him and petting him he will put his paw on you. If you move your hand away he will paw at you as if to say hey why did you stop petting me! Chico is just the sweetest boy and is ready to give love and be loved by his furever family.
Requirements to adopt Chico:
*Fenced yard: He loves being outside so we are requiring a fence or acreage, no apartment
Chico is an English Shepherd mix that weighs 55 lbs and was born approximately 5-5-22. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
