CLARK

Hi! My Name Is CLARK

We're happy to tell you that CLARK has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Clark is a sweet-natured boy with a big smile. A gentleman at heart, he is quickly learning basic commands and how to be an inside dog. New skills include housetraining and kennel training, and he’s working hard on feeling comfortable going up and down stairs.
A wonderful balance of chill and playful, Clark is happiest as your constant companion- the perfect home office dog, he loves to nap by your feet. You may momentarily mute if he sees another dog walking by (sometimes he’s indifferent), but his quiet temperament is easy to be with. He might need a little help getting in and out of the car, but loves going along for the ride - especially if a Pup Cup is involved!
Aside from the occasional bark in the night to go outside, he’s become a sound sleeper in his kennel. During the day, he has made huge progress seeing his kennel as a safe place and settles down to take a nap quickly (he is expressive when he wants to be, and might tell you first that he'd rather be chilling with you!)
While Clark hasn’t been observed with smaller children, or children lacking experience with dogs, his nature is docile and patient. While friendly or nonchalant with other dogs overall, he doesn't always prefer smaller dogs and may draw a boundary with energetic puppies. He may do best with another strong alpha or a very chill-natured dog like himself and is also very happy being the only dog in the house.
Clark will thrive with a patient, active new family who will continue to give him the time/attention he deserves. He learns/picks up routine quickly, loves his toys, delights to play fetch, and is the perfect walking buddy. Older dogs DO learn new tricks, and this Superman has so much love to offer!

Clark is a male Flat Coated Retriever. He was born approximately 10-1-15 and weighs 55 lbs.  He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention.
