Hi, my name is Cocoa Puffs! I can be shy at first, but once I know you I turn into a playful pup. My sweet, gentle personality is one of my best qualities. I’m also very smart. I learned to sit and shake within the first week of being in Nebraska. My kennel is my safe place. I will go in there anytime I get shy or if I’m ready for a nap. I sleep in the kennel all night with my brother without making a peep. I love toys and love to play outside. I need a home with a big fenced yard so I can romp around freely. I’m looking forward to cuddling with my new forever family soon! Cocoa Puffs is a herding breed, thus it is in his nature to want to 'herd' moving creatures the direction he wants them to go, little kids included. If you are parents of young children and are not prepared for 'herd nipping', we ask that you please consider another breed of dog. Check our list of available dogs who are not herding breeds who are better suited for families with children. The 'Cereal Pups' were tiny nursing pups crying in a box with their distressed mom, Ash, at their side. A plea went out from a small rural shelter that they didn't have the resources to care for this family of 9. Dolly's Legacy answered the call for help, rescuing the mom & litter, and brought them to safety so they could all get the care they needed. Cocoa Puffs is a growing male Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer mix pup who was born approximately 1-26-21. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
