DOT

Hi! I'm Dot but my foster mom calls me Mama Mia Meatball due to my short, stocky body and excellent snuggling abilities. I love my big dog siblings and also have a cat sibling but I'm not too sure about him so I generally stay away. My favorite activities are snuggling on the couch, taking walks around the neighborhood and chasing squirrels in the back yard. OMG, SQUIRREL!! I know my basic commands, take treats gently, and do well on a leash. I'm really looking for a quieter home without a lot of coming and going. A lot of activity in the house makes me nervous so no kids or only older kids would be best. It can take me some time to warm up to people and dogs but once I know I can trust you, I will turn into my snuggle-bug self. I'd also prefer a family that has some dog experience, particularly with rescue dogs. I think they will understand me better and help me settle in to my new home more quickly. I do require a fenced backyard and a big dog friend in my new home. If you have a couch for me to curl up on and a fenced backyard with some squirrels for me to chase, please adopt me! Dot is a Lab/pit mix, weighs 55 lbs and was born approximately 8-5-17. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Dot had life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. She will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure she is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
