Elsie is an adorable young lady with a big personality and a natural confidence that makes her the perfect little leader. She's playful, active, and always ready to explore or wrestle with her sister, but she also loves winding down with a favorite chew toy and snuggling close once the fun is over. Smart and independent, Elsie is house-trained, crate-trained, and gets along well with small dogs and cats. While she’s a bit more serious than her sister, she still adores attention and will happily follow her humans around the house. Elsie lives with the motto of play hard and snuggle later. A fenced yard and a home with older kids would suit her best, and she’s learning quickly that mealtime is safe and no longer a race. Elsie is a wonderful companion who brings joy and spunk wherever she goes.
Additional info: We are seeking a home for Elsie & Mamie together as they are bonded. If we are unable to find a home for them together, they each will definitely need another active dog in the home and a family that can provide activity. They are not sedentary, they have lots of energy and are always on the go. They can be protective of their food. They are power chewers, and we're working on redirection to appropriate things to chew on. They are doing well on the leash. They love to run and will need a fence yard. They are bonded. But have also bonded well with the other family dogs. They are still learning not to be under foot all of the time. Mamie is the more hyper and assertive one. Elsie is the calmer of the two but still an active girl. They are good with 10+ yr old kids & older. Fenced yard required.
Elsie is a female Cairn Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier/mix who was was born approximately 2-5-24 and weighs 7 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $550 individually, or $900 as a bonded pair. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
