Elsie and Mamie are a perfectly bonded pair of young sisters who are ready to bring twice the love and joy to a lucky forever home. Playful, affectionate, and full of personality, these girls do everything together — from exploring the yard and wrestling like champs to snuggling close and chewing on their favorite toys. Elsie is the confident leader with a curious spark, while Mamie is the extra-snuggly sweetheart who never turns down a cuddle. They are kissers and will jump in your lap and kiss all over your face, so an adopter will need to be okay with and not shy away from lots of doggy kisses. Both are house-trained, crate-trained, and get along wonderfully with cats and small dogs. They’re social, loving, and always close by their humans, following them from room to room. A fenced yard and a home with older children would be ideal for these two, who are not just cute — they’re perfectly perfect.
Additional info: We are seeking a home for Elsie & Mamie together as they are bonded. If we are unable to find a home for them together, they each will definitely need another active dog in the home and a family that can provide activity. They are not sedentary, they have lots of energy and are always on the go. They can be protective of their food. They are power chewers, and we're working on redirection to appropriate things to chew on. They are doing well on the leash. They love to run and will need a fence yard. They are bonded. But have also bonded well with the other family dogs. They are still learning not to be under foot all of the time. Mamie is the more hyper and assertive one. Elsie is the calmer of the two but still an active girl. They are good with 10+ yr old kids & older. Fenced yard required.
Elsie & Mamie are female Cairn Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier/mixes who were born approximately 2-5-24 and weigh 7-8 lbs. They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $550 individually, or $900 as a bonded pair. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
