ELVIS

Hi! My Name Is ELVIS

We're happy to tell you that ELVIS has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Before you think about adopting Elvis, there are a few things you should know. He is way cuter in person. The photo show him as pretty adorable, but it's even more adorable in person. He is also one of the sweetest little critters that's ever come through my door. Elvis was a breeder release which means he is still learning how to dog. He is still learning how to go outside, how to let the human in the house know that he needs to go outside, and he is still on "high alert." He very desperately wants to be a lap dog. He desperately wants to be cuddled and held and snuggled, but he is also terrified to let his guard down. He does very well in a kennel, but if you are home with him, he would like the door to be open so he can come and go as needed. But if you leave the house and he's in his kennel, he is such a good little boy. We are working on positive reinforcement for potty training, he has learned that a yummy comb treat every night for his teeth is one of the greatest things in the whole wide world. He loves when you look into his eyes and just talk it doesn't matter what you say. But he will stare at you with that intense Blue steel look. He is still learning about stairs. He does very well on the pet steps up and down from the couch, but does not understand the outside stairs, or the stairs up to the bed. He has recently discovered the joy of dog beds and is obsessed. But when he sleeps in bed with you, he wants to be as close to you as he can get on the outside of the covers. He is not an undercover dog yet. The only downside to Mr Elvis Pawsley, Is that he's a little thief. Everyone he has met... He has stolen their hearts. Do you want to let him steal yours next?

Elvis is a blue-eyed Mini Schnauzer. He was born 6-15-16 and was surrendered by his breeder. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention.
