GRILLED CHEESE

Hello! Would you like to hear my story? Well I was found abandoned near a sandwich shop with my six siblings in Oklahoma. Some pretty amazing people took care of us and told Dolly’s all about us. And how could Dolly’s say no to these faces?! We were all given sandwich names to honor this turning point in our lives. Now I am in Nebraska living in a foster home.  I’m a super adorable, super energetic (and then eventually...super sleepy) puppy who loves walks and playing and exploring and giving kisses! I’m eager to please and would love to be your sidekick. Like all day. Everyday. For forever! I am working hard on potty training and doing very well! I still have an accident every now and again BUT ONLY if someone isn’t watching me closely enough!) I do need to go out often during the day because I’m young and my bladder is still small. Plus I love being outside! I’m working on kennel training too. I take all 3 of my naps and sleep overnight in my kennel, all without crying. But still a young pup, so I do need middle of the night potty break on most nights. I also eat all 3 meals in my kennel. I'm a pretty smart girl! I already know how to “sit” and “lay down”. I catch on very quickly! My foster mommy loves training me because I’m super eager to learn and please. I LOVE praise and yummy treats too. Oh speaking of treats......something you need to know about me....I LOVE pumpkin teething rings, like LOVE LOVE. It’s kind of an obsession. You know, how some people are about their pumpkin spice EVERYTHING! But really, I love any new bones or treats my foster mommy gives me! Oh and plastic water bottles (without the cap and ring) are SUPER CRAZY fun too. I do pretty good on a leash, for a puppy. I like to smell everything and explore everywhere! I can easily be redirected and I love to continue to walk with you. Or run beside you (short distances because I’m still just a puppy!) I’m a playful/active and very loving and girl. Will you play with me and take me for lots of walks to explore the world around us? I’m super intellect and eager to please! I do require a lot of activity (especially frequent short walks) and right now I spend a lot of time playing with my brother. We love to wrestle and have so much fun getting our energy out that way too. I will need a new buddy to help me get my energy out. Could it be you!? I could go on and on, not that I’m conceited or anything, but my foster mommy thinks I’m a VERY SPECIAL and VERY GOOD puppy! She tells me that a LOT. And I’m starting to believe her! I can’t wait to be your special girl! Grilled Cheese is a Black Mouth Cur mix, weighs 10 lbs (but growing!) and was born approximately 5/9/2020. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed & started on heartworm preventive. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
