While the other puppies are busy wrestling, Hazel is usually off investigating something far more important... like how to get onto the bed, whether the puppy gate has any design flaws, or what exactly you're doing over there. This happy, playful girl has a heart of gold and a wonderfully curious mind. She loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and approaches life with confidence, kindness, and just enough mischief to keep everyone smiling. Hazel will happily invite other dogs to play but is respectful enough to back off if they're not interested. One thing becomes obvious very quickly—this girl is smart. She's often the first puppy to solve a problem, discover a shortcut, or figure out how things work. She's currently learning leash skills and "sit." She completely understands that treats are involved... she's just still deciding whether she'd rather earn one or negotiate for it. Despite her independent streak, Hazel is incredibly affectionate and loves spending time with her people. She's the perfect mix of brains, sweetness, and puppy charm, keeping you laughing one minute and melting into a cuddle the next.
Hazel would thrive with a family that enjoys an interactive, intelligent puppy and is excited to continue her training. While a fenced yard isn't required, she'd love opportunities to explore, learn, and satisfy her curiosity, and because she's thoughtful and observant, she may appreciate a home that isn't overly hectic while she continues building confidence. She has an active, playful personality balanced by a gentle, affectionate nature. Hazel loves other dogs and politely invites them to play, has not been tested with cats, and while she hasn't officially met children under 15, her gentle temperament suggests she'll do well with respectful kids of any age. She has a beautiful long, curly tail, is currently working on house training and leash skills, and does not require an experienced owner. Three things you must know about Hazel: She's exceptionally smart and loves figuring out how the world works; she's affectionate, gentle, and happiest being part of the family; and she's eager to learn, making her a wonderful companion for someone ready to help her grow into the amazing dog she's already becoming.
