Heidi is a spirited older lady who is built like a brick house on legs! She is a HUGE fan of people, and she will show off her best dance moves whenever she meets someone new. She has the best smile and will brighten your day with her beauty. Heidi has been attacked twice in her past by other dogs, so she naturally is now defensive with them. She has lived with a cat most of her life and finds that the cat bullies her, to which Heidi walks away. Heidi has never shown any ounce of aggression with humans; but due to her size and sheer delight in the presence of people, she would be overwhelming for little ones possibly knocking them over.
Heidi came into rescue when her owner became unable to care for her due to extenuating circumstances. Heidi has grieved no longer having her lifelong master, but she is ready to start a new chapter with a new person or family. We would love for her to have a big, fenced yard to play in. Even though she is a bit older, she has plenty of energy and has always had a yard to romp in. She is not suited for apartment living and we will not place her in an apartment.
Heidi is a female American Staffordshire Terrier who was born 7-2-13 and weighs 70 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, started on flea/heartworm prevention, tested negative for heartworm disease and given heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $250 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
