HERSHEY – Adoption Sponsored!

Hi! My Name Is HERSHEY – Adoption Sponsored!

**HERSHEY'S ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED!**

If you're looking for a goofball wrapped in dog fur, Hershey just might be the dog for you! Hershey is a brick-house boy who loves human attention. He is an active dog who would do best with an active owner to keep him busy with walks, hiking, etc. He will whine when he doesn't have enough to do (mom! I'm boooored!!). He is fully potty trained and will go in the kennel when asked but has also been trustworthy when left out.  Hershey would do best as an only dog as he can be bossy with other dogs & wants to be in charge. He initially may play but gets overstimulated and reactive, so it's best he serve his reign as the only king of his castle. He is not a fan of felines, so we would recommend a home without cats or other small pets such as rabbits, as he is too tempted to chase them. Hershey is likely a great candidate for personalized dog training classes to keep that active mind challenged. Classes are a great opportunity for a dog and owner to learn together and practice at home. Hershey needs a fenced yard as he does enjoy the outdoors and having the opportunity to sniff and do zoomies freely (no apartment living for this boy). Due to his enthusiasm with running & playing and getting a bit carried away with his zest for playtime, Hershey should be in an adult-only home, as he would easily knock down kids. Hershey needs a pretty specific home, but once he finds that perfect fit, we know he will thrive and bring as much joy to your life as you will to is. He is worth the time, effort and dedication it will take to make his placement in a new home a resounding success. We're hoping you're up for the challenge!

Hershey is a Chocolate Lab/Staffie mix, weighs 62 lbs and was born approximately 12-14-15. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Hershey had life-saving treatment for heartworm disease and now tests negative. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $50 (sponsored by a generous donor!) to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website at DollysLegacyAnimalRescue.org. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily.
