Hi I'm Hope! I’m such a sweet, playful girl. From the get-go, I want to introduce myself to all the new faces I meet. I have a calm demeanor, and usually enjoy just relaxing for most of my day, but if you want, I can offer some of the best kisses and cuddles. I’m potty-trained to the max. I have not had a single accident in my foster family’s home. The youngest kiddo in the house is 11 years old, I would do best with kids around that age as I enjoy a quiet environment that isn’t too crazy. I’m very quiet myself, and usually ask for things by pawing at someone. I do well on a leash, just make sure you have a secured lead as my hound genes sometimes make me want to sniff and follow my nose wherever it takes me. I love walking around the neighborhood especially when it’s sunny out. I would absolutely love a backyard to explore in and even a doggy friend or two! Don’t worry about crate training either. While I’d rather much be by your side during school or work, I can go in the crate, no issue, for times you need me to. I’m just a dog who wants to be loved, and give that same love in return! Hope was rescued from rural Oklahoma after being shot by the owner's neighbor simply for being in the wrong place. She has fully recovered despite having the injured eye removed. Hope is a Redbone Coonhound mix, weighs 42lbs and was born approximately 05/28/2016. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
