Hey there my name is Keats! I am an outgoing puppy that loves to play and tell you how excited I am to see you! There is nothing shy about me, so far I have loved every dog that I've met big and small. I get so excited that I like to jump to get your attention. My foster brother Kipper and I chase each other around the yard and play great together. A fenced yard would be ideal for me, but if taken on walks it would not be a necessity. Cats are okay and sometimes I will bark at them but mostly I just ignore them. I am a small dog and have done great with a teenage girl but have not been tested around small children. My foster mom thinks I would do best in an active household. I am quiet all night and sleep in my kennel with the door open. I am doing great at potty training. I am very treat motivated and will easily pick up on tricks! I also like to snuggle and will make a great companion for a very lucky family. Could that family be you? Come meet me and see! Keats came from rural southern Oklahoma where he was found as a stray and never reclaimed. The only way he would make it out of the shelter alive was to be rescued as they do not have any volunteer or adoption programs in their rural animal control facility. Dolly's Legacy came to his rescue and saved his life. Now he's ready for a new chapter with a forever home. Keats is a Chihuahua/Chiweenie mix, weighs 13 lbs and was born approximately 6-22-20. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
