Hi, I'm Lawson. I had a rough start to life being abandoned in rural Oklahoma and I'm not really over it yet. I have settled in to a great foster home here in Nebraska and I love it but all the changes in my life make me a bit anxious and moody. I am affectionate and loving but sometimes I'm just crabby and want to be left alone. Small dogs are okay but big dogs are a no. I haven't been tested with cats. I'm potty trained and love long walks so I want a family who will take me on regular walks. I do NOT like the vet and will not be a nice guy when you take me there (I'm a reactive biter). Maybe after I get more accustomed to the vet I will be better. I won't be happy in a home with kids, so adults only please. I also would like a place where people are home more as I definitely get anxious when left alone and I do not like crates! Reminds me too much of the bad things in my past. I definitely need an experienced, patient owner who will help me work through my anxiety and overcoming my past. I know I can be the best doggo around but will need someone to help get me there. Is that you? **WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS ON LAWSON WHO FIT HIS NEEDS. No first time dog owners, no homes with kids. Lawson is a male ShihTzu, weighs 12 lbs and was born approximately 4-15-15. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
