LILLY

Lilly is a dream of a dog. She’s gentle as can be and gets along with other dogs. Needs reassurance and a stable environment. Lilly is so smart. She knows no, leave it, sit, stay, lay down. She asks to go outside. She thinks the cats are playmates much to their insisting they don't want to play. Lilly will make a great family member to a lucky family. Lilly loves being with her people. She will want to sleep in bed with you and be near you on the couch. She will follow you around the house carrying her toy. She is happiest when the whole family is in one room where she can see everyone. Going outside tends to make her nervous as noisy trucks scare her. We are requiring that she go to a home with a fenced yard. She likes to play with the ball. She will bring it back, maybe. We just show her the ball and tell her its okay to pick it up. Then she runs back so wiggly and happy. As with any dog, do not try to remove a toy or treat from her mouth, she will give you a low growl that she doesn't want you to take what's hers. She is a joy to be around and wants to love and be loved. Lilly came from a crowded city shelter in Texas where she was in grave danger of being euthanized due to limited space at the shelter & her time was up. Dolly's Legacy came to her rescue and saved her life. Now she is ready for a new chapter with a forever home.  Lilly is a female Retriever/Border Collie mix (our best guess of breeds), weighs 57 lbs and was born approximately 1-13-19. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
