We learned of this boy sitting in a cage at the shelter in Omaha early in the afternoon. He had until 5pm that day and was going to be euthanized. We literally had a couple of hours to save him. He had been found as a stray three days earlier, unable to walk or move his hind legs. No one claimed him. Shelter resources were limited, they put out a plea to area rescues, we were the only one willing to take him into our care.
His name is Lt. Dan. His spine had been fractured, likely from being hit by a car. However, Lt. Dan doesn't let his injury slow him down. He loves to do zoomies in the yard using his front legs and pull himself wherever he wants to go. He is incredibly affectionate and loves to be with his human. He is fostered with big & small dogs as well as cats, and loves them all. He has control of his bladder & bowels. He is not requiring any medication. We adore this sweet, amazing little boy and we know you will too! He is an absolute doll!
Lt. Dan is a ShihTzu-Poodle who is 3 yrs old and weighs 10 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given preventative, dewormed and is heartworm negative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
