MAGNUS

Hi! My Name Is MAGNUS

We're happy to tell you that MAGNUS has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Mr Magnificent Magnus (Mags / Maggie / Mr McGee) is looking for a nice, quiet retirement with lots of cuddles, plenty of snuggles, and a lot of naps. He has a puppy face with an elderly body. He's an old man dog looking for a lap. His tongue does not know how to fit in his mouth. He has one whole toofer, so a soft diet is a must for him. He's learning to use the ramp we have outside. He will go up and down, if you direct him to it; he does not not do it on his own. He sometimes gets bursts off energy where he goes into play mode and then he promptly falls asleep. As an older gentleman, and has some housetraining issues we are working on. He is doing much better about indicating when he needs to pee, but pooing... not on his priority list. It's an easy clean up. He has two maintenance meds for his heart murmur that he takes with Kraft singles. He is an excellent coworker and does not bother his foster mom with too many interruptions, but she finds it hard to work with him around because he's so stinking cute! It's impossible not to just want to hug him and hold him and let him drown your face in his sweet kisses (which he has plenty of to give!).

Magnus is a male senior Pekingese. He was born approximately 7-22-13 (but could be much older) and weighs 15 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. He has bilateral luxating patellas making him slow and wonky while walking. He also has an advanced heart murmur he will need to remain on his medications and rechecked for that a minimum of every 6 months. He also is developing age-related cataracts.
