Mamie is a loving youthful lady who will melt hearts with her snuggly nature and playful energy. She seeks out human contact and is definitely the cuddle-bug of the pair, always looking for a warm lap or a cozy blanket after playtime, and she loves chew toys just as much as she loves being held. Mamie may be the follower when it comes to adventures with her sister, Elsie, but she’s the champ when it comes to wrestling matches and winning affection. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and does beautifully with small dogs and cats. Mamie would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, older children, and plenty of love and attention to go around. With her gentle, affectionate spirit, Mamie is ready to be someone’s perfect little shadow and snuggle buddy.
Additional info: We are seeking a home for Elsie & Mamie together as they are bonded. If we are unable to find a home for them together, they each will definitely need another active dog in the home and a family that can provide activity. They are not sedentary, they have lots of energy and are always on the go. They can be protective of their food. They are power chewers, and we're working on redirection to appropriate things to chew on. They are doing well on the leash. They love to run and will need a fence yard. They are bonded. But have also bonded well with the other family dogs. They are still learning not to be under foot all of the time. Mamie is the more hyper and assertive one. Elsie is the calmer of the two but still an active girl. They are good with 10+ yr old kids & older. Fenced yard required.
Mamie is a female Cairn Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier/mix who was was born approximately 2-5-24 and weighs 7 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $550 individually, or $900 as a bonded pair, to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
