MARLEY

Hi! My Name Is MARLEY

We're happy to tell you that MARLEY has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
When we look at Marley's face we see pain and fear, yet hope. Hope for a better life. Marley had been used for breeding and has delivered many puppies in her 8 years. Prior to being rescued, she had experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. . She was badly matted and needed to be shaved after her rescue from that life. Marley is slowly learning to trust humans. She enjoys being outside and loves to run freely. She rolls on her back in the grass with a look of pure joy on her face. Marley is bonded to Gabe who was rescued with her but she also enjoys being with the other dogs in her foster home. Marley is cautious around cats only because they are new to her. She is interested in what they are doing. Marley would do well with other friendly pets in her new home. Because of her life prior to being rescued, she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home without a lot of coming/going. Marley loves being outside and will need a fenced in year to keep her safe while exploring. We are working on leash and potty training. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, we believe she will come around rather quickly and being a part of her rehabilitation will be an extremely rewarding experience. Marley is learning that life can be good. Her new family will need to have patience with her as she grows into the dog that she deserves to be. We are confident that once you meet Marley you will fall in love! Marley is a female Maltese, weighs 7.6 lbs and was born approximately 7-14-11. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention. Marley also had a dental procedure with several extractions so would do best with a soft diet. Adoption fee is $300 individually, or $500 with her best pal, Gabe, to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
