Belly rubs are the bomb! I love to cuddle and be with people and will follow them into whatever room they are in. I just want to be loved and please people. My picture makes me look bigger than I am. I'm 20 inches tall at my shoulder. I would do well in an apartment as long as I can have my walks. I’m told I need more work on a leash. There’s just so much to smell and explore. I have a lot of toys that I can chew, but I like one or two. Just don’t toss a toy at me. It makes me run away. Two other things I find scary and make me cower are thunderstorms and the word “no.” I like to be outside in the fenced yard. Sometimes I’ll just sit and watch everything that’s going on. Other times I’ll romp with the people or the other dog in house. There are dogs on the other side of the fence that bark at me, so I bark back to let them know I’m here and want to meet them. There are two cats in my foster home. I’m timid around them and I’m curious, but they seem to not like me. I just want to be their friend. Merle is a Catahoula Leopard dog mix, weighs 40 lbs and was born approximately 01/22/2019. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.
