Mickey is an adorable, one-of-a-kind Mi-Ki who’s still learning what it means to be a dog after spending his previous life with a breeder. Currently timid and shy, Mickey is still working on house training and isn't yet leash trained, but he’s making steady progress. Despite his initial hesitation to approach for affection, Mickey loves being loved – he's just a little unsure of how to ask. He loves sleeping on the bed and has recently discovered the joy of soft dog beds, quickly becoming fond of all the cozy spots in his new home. Mickey enjoys running around the yard but always heads back inside to the warmth and comfort of his safe space. Although he’s not quite figured out how to be the perfect lap dog, he definitely aspires to be one! Mickey will need regular grooming due to his mixed breed heritage, but his sweet, soulful eyes will melt anyone’s heart. While his foster is already smitten, she knows that Mickey needs a forever family who will help him continue to build his confidence and become the loving companion he’s meant to be.
Requirements to adopt Mickey:
*Experienced small breed dog owner with excellent veterinary reference
*No children as they frighten him
*Commitment to regular grooming to keep his coat from becoming tangled
Mickey is a male Mi-Ki who was was born approximately 11-4-22. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
