MILLIE – Medical Hold

Hi! My Name Is MILLIE – Medical Hold

I'm Available

*Available for adoption mid-March 2024 once she completes heartworm treatment*

Millie is sweet and cuddly. She is still timid but warming up as she feels more comfortable.  Would do best in a calm home. She needs a fenced yard as she is still learning leash walking.  Millie is very respectful of indoors & is house trained. She is great with other dogs but has not been around cats or kids while in our care.

Millie ie is heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment to save her life. Without it, the heartworms will continue to invade her heart and lungs, and eventually suffocate her. We cannot let that happen to this precious girl. Getting this girl healthy, through the months-long treatment, spayed, vaccinated, and all the things she needs to be ready for the next chapter in her life, will cost well over $1000.
Please help us show Millie her life is worth saving. Give her the gift of a life free of the heartworms taking hold of her. Donations can be made on our website at this link:

Millie is a female Chocolate Lab/Border Collie mix (our best guess of breeds) who weighs 41 lbs and was born approximately 3-16-23. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. She is being provided life-saving heartworm treatment and will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative (as all dogs should). Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. All information regarding adoption policies are on our website***
