Moose Tracks, affectionately called "Moose" by his foster family, has faced some tough challenges early in life. As a young dog, he was struck by a car, and his injury went untreated until he was rescued. Despite his limp, Moose embraces life with joy and enthusiasm. His limp doesn’t hinder his ability to run and jump around, and while he may not be up for a marathon or mountain climbing, he enjoys leisurely walks and cozy couch cuddles. Moose is a gentle, bashful, and laid-back dog who thrives in a relaxed environment. He gets along well with children and other dogs and has been particularly good with a 10-pound Chihuahua. Although he hasn't been tested with cats, he has shown no signs of aggression. Moose is house-trained and requires no special care for his limp, which does not affect his daily activities. Moose is adaptable to various living situations, doing well with or without a fenced yard. However, he would benefit from a home with few or no stairs and should not be expected to walk long distances without breaks. He enjoys staying close to his people and is currently learning to walk on a leash, making good progress. Initially bashful around new people, Moose quickly warms up and is affectionate and cuddly once he feels comfortable. He has a calm demeanor and is not a door dasher. Moose is also well-behaved during bath time and nail trimming, showing patience and enjoying the grooming process. Moose is learning to sit and wait before eating and is comfortable sleeping in a dog bed at night. He is also getting accustomed to using stairs to access beds and furniture. Moose is not possessive of his toys and enjoys sharing them with other dogs. He is fine being the only dog or having canine companions and can be left alone in his kennel for up to six hours without accidents. With his unique markings and two different eye colors—hazel and blue—Moose stands out with his distinct personality and charm. His foster family adores him, appreciating his beauty, kindness, and humor. Moose is a terrific companion who has a lot of love to give. The ideal home for Moose would be one that embraces him just as he is, limp and all, and provides him with the affection and care he deserves.
