I'm an absolute star!
I take a bit to warm up, but once I do, you'll be smitten!
I'm a small gal - I don't want anyone to underestimate me, so I use my big bark to make sure everyone knows I'm tough! But, really, I'm a gentle softy (unless you're a large dog - then I'm the ultimate tough girl.)
I love to run and wrestle with the resident dog, who is about the same size as me.... And I have been a gracious host to the foster brothers and sisters who have come and gone. I leave the cats in the home alone for the most part, but if we need to sit together to beg for a treat, I'm in! I also LOVE to play with my human cousins who are 12, 13, & 14 years old.... Football?? Tag?? Catch?? I'll dominate the game and give kisses after I win!
I have a back injury that makes more than a few stairs, or floors without traction, tricky. Same with jumping, sitting, or squatting. I'll need a boost to the couch, bed, car, or up lots of steps! I am potty trained, but I do have a silly walk when I'm out to go potty...just follow the trail! I also have a sensitive tummy, don't be surprised if I wait to eat a meal until it suits me.. my foster mom says I'm having breakfast in bed when I don't want to eat right away in the morning.
Some of my favorite things... Snoozing under a blanket, rolling around in the grass, fetching balls and sticks!!
I do pretty well on walks, until I see a large dog - I'm ready to defend my pack, so a fenced yard is a must!
I don't like to share my food, and will let other dogs know if they get too close.
I do great in my kennel, but I am so well behaved inside, I don't need to be in there.
