Patti is a hoot! We haven’t decided if she is named after Patti Lupone for her sharp, petite facial features or her beautiful singing voice. Patti LOVES people. She will make sure to know where you are, who you’re with, and when you will be sitting down so she can be right next to you, leaned up against you and likely standing on your lap to get a handful of kisses in. She loves to be petted and she’ll nudge you to let you know not to stop until she’s ready. If you’re not up for a little gal that will be next to you on the couch or in bed, be in your face to give you kisses, and shed on you, then we’d suggest you keep scrolling because she’s not the one for you. Patti loves stuffed animals and enjoys carrying them around inside and out. She has been known to play a little fetch in the backyard. Patti enjoys going for a walk and she does pretty good—she clearly had experience getting in a harness. Birds do spark her interest. Patti is currently fostered with three dogs bigger than her, no cats and no children. She does like to stand up against the bigger dogs with her front paws on them and she is learning what they are willing to tolerate. She will occasionally try to engage them in play as well with a friendly bow. She met the clinic cats and was positively terrified of them, so cats are in no jeopardy around her. Patti’s potty habits have been stellar—no accidents inside the foster home or kennel. She is kenneled during the workday with a break at lunch and she has been kenneled overnight for up to 8 hours. So while she absolutely can be kenneled and behaves well in the kennel, Patti’s foster mom is pretty sure this little gal could be trusted outside the kennel as she shows no tendency to chew or get into things she shouldn’t and appears to be potty trained. When Patti is excited or playful, her tail goes a mile a minute. She seems pretty playful in the morning and when she comes out of her kennel, but she certainly knows how to chill as well and makes an excellent napping buddy. Patti could likely fit into a variety of family settings and guessing the more people to love on her, the happier she would be! Patti does like to explore the yard so while a fenced yard is not required, she’d likely enjoy the freedom to roam and sniff. Patti is pretty quiet, she has barked when there seems to be something to bark about or alert you of. Patti is a southern gal so she likely has not had to deal with more than a couple of stairs; however she shows no previous experience of going up or down an actual flight of stairs. If you’re looking for a little mama that will think you are the bee’s knees, look no further, because Patti is ready to be your bestie, sidekick, and constant companion. Patti is a Corgi Terrier Mix, weighs 25-3028 lbs and was born approximately 4-28-19. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive.
